Some necessary Lynyrd Skynyrd classics are missing from this installation of the 20th CENTURY MASTERS series, including "Saturday Night Special," "Gimme Back My Bullets," and "What's Your Name," among others. But for a nine-track set, this disc covers the bare essentials ("Free Bird," "Sweet Home Alabama"), as well as perennial fan faves like "I Ain't the One" and "Simple Man." Even this abbreviated hits package packs a punch, though, with plenty of Skynyrd's legendary twin-guitar attack, blues-rock swagger, and Southern rock guitar muscle on offer.
