This moving biographical pictures details the life and work of Jang Seung-up, "Ohwon," (Choi Min-sik), a troubled, Korean artist. Nineteenth century Korean society suffered from a blight of poverty and political upheaval. Despite Ohwon's newfound freedom and resources, he struggled to break free from his background and the grip of alcoholism.
