This series takes viewers to rural Tennessee in the early 20th century as a young woman tries to adjust to her life as a schoolteacher. Kellie Martin (ER) plays Christy, who journeys from upper-class Asheville, North Carolina, to a small village in the Great Smoky Mountains. In addition to her struggles in the town, Christy must choose between two very different men (Randall Batinkoff and Stewart Finlay-McLennan). With an appeal similar to TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL and LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, this family drama is based on the inspirational novel by Catherine Marshall. CHRISTY also stars Tyne Daly and LeVar Burton.
