Based on the November 2003 movie starring the voice of Joaquin Phoenix in the title role, Disney's Brother Bear follows the story of a young warrior named Kenai who is magically transformed into a bear. Once Kenai learns that the cure for his situation lies in a cryptic location where "the lights touch the earth," he sets off on a journey of self-discovery and friendship. Kenai eventually stumbles upon a bear cub named Koda, who views the former man as his "brother bear." The video game version takes place from a side-scrolling perspective as players guide Kenai through various locales inspired by the film. He will jump across branches while in the forest, encounter the moose duo of Tuke and Rutt, avoid the relentless pursuit of his human brother, Denahi, and carry Koda on his back in an attempt to reunite the cub with his mother -- all while searching for the secret to become a man once again. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
