Based on the 2002 theatrical release
Lilo & Stitch,
Disney Interactive has delivered
Disney's Lilo & Stitch for
Game Boy Advance. This
action-adventure title features more than 12 levels of play staged across not only planet Earth, but also the whole galaxy. Players alternate between
Stitch and
Lilo as they attempt to rescue
Lilo from her menacing kidnapper
Dr. Pestus the Mosquito King.
Beginning the
adventure as
Stitch, players make their way through the first sequence of levels on Earth and continue into space, to the Junkyard Planet and the Mother Ship until they eventually defeat
Dr. Pestus.
Stitch has armed himself with a set of intergalactic guns with an endless supply of ammunition and he can also pick up Pineapple Grenades along the way. Except as it applies to defeating the mini-bosses,
Stitch does not necessarily have to fire at his alien enemies as he can discreetly crawl past them.
Bounty Hunter Bob,
Junkyard Beast, and
Dr. Pestus are the bosses
Stitch needs to defeat.
Lilo is armed a bit more innocently as she escapes from an alien ship, but as she comes out swinging her dolly
Scrump in her defense, she holds her own. She also has the abilities to hide, sneak, and teleport.
Power-ups and bonuses are scattered through each level, among them: Pineapple Grenades, Ammo Power-Ups, Health, and Extra Lives. To improve scores, various achievements in a level will be awarded with bonuses such as the Vehicle Bonus and Accuracy Bonus. As play progresses there is an option from the Main Menu to view clips from the movie, and a secret clip can be revealed if the player locates all eight picture frames hidden throughout the game. ~ Jennifer Beam, All Game Guide
