Director Sam Fuller (PICKUP ON SOUTH STREET) turns his touch to this 1951 film about the Korean War. Set in Korea's frozen mountains, FIXED BAYONETS follows a small group of soldiers as they protect 15,000 troops from attack. Though everyone considers the man in charge a hero, he is far less than he appears and this will have deadly consequences. Screen icon James Dean makes an early appearance in this action-driven drama.

The Big Red One
Review 1:
"[A] very human story of men caught up in the most inhumane of situations....Mr. Fuller never demonizes the enemy..."
Source: New York Times p.E4 05/08/2007
Review 2:
"The script, based on a novel by John Brophy, boasts plenty of the writer-director's punchy and ironic dialogue."
