Jimmy Durante narrates this classic tale about a snowman who is brought to life by magic. Karen (June Foray) is a lonely girl. Neglected by her parents, she spends her time building snowmen. One day, she discovers a mysterious hat rumored to be the property of an evil magician. Karen wishfully bestows the snowman with the hat and to her delight, Frosty (Jackie Vernon) magically comes to life. Frosty and Karen quickly become the best of friends, and there seems to be no end in sight to their good times--until the sun threatens to melt Frosty. Accompanied by Karen, he sets out for the cool refrigeration of the North Pole, but when the evil magician learns of their plans, he's hot on their trail.
Once again Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass deliver yet another heartwarming holiday Christmas tale. Originally aired in 1969, FROSTY THE SNOWMAN has been rerun on network television ever since. Film icon Durante lends appropriately cool vocals as the storyteller of the much-loved movie, which is based on the popular song of the same name.
When Frosty the Snowman is accidentally brought to life, he must weather a storm of adventures and the dastardly plans of an evil magician before he can find safety and happiness.
