The world of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND saw a group of castaways stranded on a desert island, left there after a boat trip got caught in a storm. Each episode saw the eclectic group of castaways attempt an escape from the island, but were frequently foiled by infighting, and bitter recriminations breaking out between the crew.
