From director Takashi Miike (ICHI THE KILLER, ONE MISSED CALL), IZO explores the adventures of samurai warrior Okado Izo, who rises from his low-class upbringing to the heights of samurai fame. Led to greatness by a legendary warlord, Izo becomes familiar with murder and death very quickly, becoming known to those around the land as "Izo the Slaughterer." Under this threatening title, Izo himself is murdered, his soul remaining lost somewhere between heaven and hell.
