A lifelong friendship takes an unexpected turn when Charlie (Jerry O'Connell) and Louis (Anthony Anderson) attempt to off-load a truck full of stolen televisions into a New York City warehouse. On arrival they realize the warehouse belongs to Charlie's stepfather, the notorious crime boss Sal Maggio (Christopher Walken). To make matters worse, they've inadvertently lead the police there, and have to make a quick escape. Sal decides to punish them with a complicated assignment--he sends them to the Australian outback, where they must deliver $50,000 to a shady associate of Sal's called Mr. Smith. In the Australian desert, the adventure is brought to an abrupt halt when Charlie and Louis run over a kangaroo in their car. Thinking the unfortunate marsupial is dead, they dress him up in Louis's "lucky" jacket, and name him Jack. Jack doesn't remain dead for long however, and hops off into the outback with the $50,000 in his jacket pocket. Fearing for their lives, they enlist the help of various hapless locals in an attempt to track down Jack and their money, with only the beautiful Jessie (Estella Warren) providing any useful assistance. With Sal's henchmen and Mr. Smith hot on their trail, time is running out as they pursue Jack through the desert. KANGAROO JACK, a Jerry Bruckheimer-produced film, is a fun-filled, action-packed adventure that is is perfect for kids of all ages.
