It is a time in Japan's history when rival clans battle for land and control. Caught in the middle of this constant war is a young girl named Kasumi, whose been made an orphan by the bloodshed. When her and her brother are adopted by a powerful warlord she is soon introduced to the world of the Kunoichi (female ninjas). It's not long before she is caught up in the warfare and on a quest for revenge against Hattori Hanzo, an evil sword master. But will the introduction of a potential romance stand in the way of her duty and honor?
