Farther I Let Her Go [Bonus Track], The
A legendary rockabilly curiosity, Mack Vickery's LIVE AT THE ALABAMA WOMEN'S PRISON was originally released on a tiny label in 1970. Really-no-foolin' recorded in a real Alabama women's prison not long after Johnny Cash released his legendary LIVE AT SAN QUENTIN, this set is a truly bizarre sequence of songs like "Life Turned Her That Way" and "Alabama Women's Prison Blues," capped off by the impressively tasteless double-entendre rocker "Meat Man." This Bear Family reissue adds two songs left off the original 1970 LP, "The Farther I Let Her Go" and the silly story-song "Boston's Busiest Peeping Tom."
