This pleasant Rivieras retrospective includes all of the New Jersey group's singles for Coed, including the hits "Since I Made You Cry," "Moonlight Cocktails," "Moonlight Serenade," and "Count Every Star." Sensing a pattern here? The Rivieras were never doo wop's most popular group, but after "Serenade"became their biggest hit, they wisely used its premise as a thematic element. The rest of Moonlight Cocktails features easygoing, slow dance doo wop cuts that won't blow anyone's mind, but aren't too shabby, either. Now buy a carnation and head to the Star of the Sea dance.
