The BBC brings ROBIN HOOD into the 21st century with this adaptation of his adventures, which first reached American audiences in March 2007. Newcomer Jonas Armstrong takes the lead role, and the show starts with Robin returning to Britain after fighting in the Holy Wars. But being back on familiar territory makes Robin acutely aware of the problems facing his native country, and he rounds up a band of "Merry Men" to tackle the Sheriff of Nottingham (Keith Allen) and his evil ways.
