One of the most popular and influential comedians of the 1980s, foul-mouthed and energetic Sam Kinison was one of a kind. This set includes three separate stand-up recordings, as well as a bonus video with material offering a glimpse into Kinison's real life. Included are BREAKING THE RULES, FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT HOUR, and OUTLAWS OF COMEDY.

A concert special originally produced for HBO, BREAKING THE RULES virtually launched Sam Kinison's too brief career. Within 48 hours after this special aired, Kinison had a record deal, a role in Rodney Dangerfield's BACK TO SCHOOL, and was on his way to stardom. A former Pentecostal preacher, Kinison's diatribes on women, homosexuals, and the religious right earned him a legion of fans that included Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, as well as other top musical of the era, who also appeared with him in his music videos. However, this is the show that started it all, on video for the first time ever.

Sam Kinison, one of the most outrageous and important comics of his generation, once again pushes the envelope with FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT HOUR, performed at the Wiltern Theatre. Joined by the Randy Hansen Band as well as a gaggle of beautiful women, including his wife Malika, Kinison cracks the audience up as he deconstructs and ridicules the absurdity of modern life.

Before his untimely death, Sam Kinison was one of America's most outrageous and popular stand-up comedians. Filmed in San Francisco, SAM KINISON: OUTLAWS OF COMEDY features one of his final live performances. Taking aim at a variety of subjects, this concert captures Kinison as he is well-remembered: ranting in hilarious, profanity-ridden tirades, delivered with manic energy and punctuated with his trademark shouts. Kinison was one of the most influential comics of the 1980s, and OUTLAWS OF COMEDY features his at his finest.
