Nickelodeon Movies presents this family comedy concerning a day in the life of the Brandstons, a bumbling Syracuse family whose town falls victim to a sudden snowstorm. While Dad Tom (Chevy Chase), a struggling meteorologist, battles with his producer (David Alan Grier) over whether wearing outrageous outfits will boost his ratings, his 10-year-old daughter, Natalie (Zena Grey), forges a bitter battle with the local snowplow driver (the always funny Chris Elliott). His menacing snowplow threatens to clean the roads before the authorities can grant the kids a second consecutive snow day. Also thrown into the mix is the teenager Hal (Mark Webber), who is too obsessed with the beautiful Claire (Emmanuelle Chriqui) to realize that his best friend, Lane (Schuyler Fisk), has a crush on him.
