Amid the muddy world of motocross, four young people in Holland find themselves on a turbulent collision course with their own dreams and aspirations, encountering violent and sexual revelations along the way. Superbly shot by cinematographer-turned-director Jan De Bont.
A group of sexually-charged Dutch teenagers who share a passion for motorcycle racing come to experience dramatic changes in their lives. Rien is paralyzed after a crash, and his subsequent impotence leads him to suicide, while over-sexed Maja turns to religion. Eef, a homophobe who beats up gays and then blackmails them, gets a dose of his own medicine when he's raped by several men -- but he ends up liking it and develops a homosexual appetite. Fientje, the gang's nymphomaniac, busies herself with sleeping her way to the top of the fast-food business, but ultimately, she finds happiness with Hans, whose racing days are waning.
