A premier venue throughout the 1970s for the punk rock bands who were just emerging at the time, Glenn O'Brien's cable access show TV PARTY set the scene of the era. The premiere episode features performances by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Fab Five Freddie, Deborah Harry, John Lurie and Tim Wright of DNA. O'Brien is also joined by his co-host, Blondie guitarist Chris Stein, while Andy Warhol's painting assistant, Walter Steding, leads the house band, the TV Party Orchestra.
