Making punk rock for guys with gun racks in the back of their pick-up trucks, North Carolina scum punks Antiseen were into their third decade of hell-raising by the time of THE BOYS FROM BRUTALSVILLE's 2001 release. The album is packed with monstrous scuzz-bucket riffs, pummeling drum work, and lead singer Jeff Clayton's remorseless, whiskey-soaked rebel yell, making it one of the band's most representative slabs of "destructo rock." If the South does indeed rise again, don't be surprised if this is the soundtrack. (The album was given a deluxe two-disc reissue in 2007, featuring bonus tracks and a DVD with videos and live footage.)
