From 3D perspective similar to that of the home computer version of The Sims 2, PlayStation Portable players guide their customizable Sims 2 characters to tend to basic needs, interact with in-game objects, and make friends (or enemies) with other characters. Exclusive to the PSP edition of the title is its storyline, set in a re-imagined version of the original Sims's "Strangetown" neighborhood. The game's twisting plot is unlocked, piece by piece, as players collect mysterious items and uncover secrets.
