Margaret O'Hara, haunted by her jockey brother's death, agrees to marry Ted Knowles, but only under the condition that he give up horseracing. But when her uncle convinces Ted that a horse named Seabiscuit will triumph only with Ted in the saddle, the clever man must convince his niece that she'll come out a winner too.
