There have been previous UB40 best-ofs, but they covered different periods from the band's history and were fairly skimpy in terms of track selection. This comprehensive and beautifully programmed 18-song anthology is the one to buy, especially if you're new to the band.

Everything you'd want is here, including some of the best pop reggae covers ever--their wonderful remake of "I Got You Babe" with Chrissie Hynde, the sinuous recasting of Al Green's "Here I Am (Come and Take Me," plus unexpected takes on Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" and Neil Diamond's "Red Red Wine." Their original material is also well represented, in particular their breakthrough British hit "One in Ten" (a stinging indictment of Margaret Thatcher-era unemployment) and the self-explanatory "Don't Break My Heart."
