The adventures of female vicar Geraldine Granger (Dawn French) and the somewhat freakish residents of Dibley continue with this collection, which contains both the Christmas and New Year specials that aired to mark the 10th anniversary of the show. In the Christmas edition, Geraldine finds aspersions are being cast upon her sexuality, mainly due to a snooping neighbor spotting the shapely model Rachel Hunter undressing in her house. The New Year episode ups the comedic ante even further, as the 20th anniversary of the Live Aid concerts are marked by some unusual events in Dibley. Dawn French continues to flex her comedic muscles away from longtime partner Jennifer Saunders (ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS) here, showing that she's perfectly capable of lending her offbeat talents to mainstream shows such as DIBLEY. A fun, eccentric, and uniquely British view of life, THE VICAR OF DIBLEY is another title to add to the lengthy list of outstanding UK comedy shows.

Distributor Notes: The holidays are usually an eventful time for the eccentric residents of Dibley and their chocoholic female vicar, Geraldine. This year proves to be no exception. Alice gets "the wrong end of a very, very long stick" when she spots a supermodel in her undies in the vicarage. It isn't long before the entire village believes that Gerry is not only one of the first female vicars in England, but also one of the first lesbian vicars!
