Comedienne Tracey Ullman consolidated her standing as one of America's favorite British imports in 1996 with the show TRACEY TAKES ON. Each show saw Ullman in a number of guises, with popular characters such as Ruby Romaine, Miss Noh Nang Ning, and Svetlana returning week after week. Each show was loosely linked by a theme indicated in the title, such as "Death," "Law," "Romance," and "Royalty," and Ullman performed alongside a variety of special guests, such as Cheech Marin, Hugh Laurie, Alfred Molina, Toby Maguire, and Jon Favreau.
