While the soundtrack to the 2008 vampire movie TWILIGHT is filled with contemporary rock bands such as Muse, Linkin Park, and Iron & Wine, fans of the film should not overlook the original score to the film, released concurrently. Composed and conducted by Carter Burwell (best known for creating the music for the films of the Cohen Brothers), the 21 instrumental cues featured are ominous, suspenseful, dreamy, and frightening. Burwell applies an eclectic sonic palette, creating an evocative soundscape that perfectly complements the spectral themes of the film.
