This classic British television series pairs American stage actress Elaine Stritch with English screen star Donald Sinden as the comically mismatched duo Dorothy McNab, an American writer living in London, and Robert Hiller, her very proper English butler. As the brash American trades barbs with the well-mannered Brit, the series becomes a hilarious exercise in culture clash that eventually grows into a warm, if contentious, friendship.
