The greatest short cartoons featuring Disney favorite Goofy are featured in WALT DISNEY'S CLASSIC CARTOON FAVORITES STARRING GOOFY. The nine shorts in the collection are all from between 1941 and 1953, during the Golden Age of Disney cartoons, and exhibit the characteristically colorful and fluid animation that was the studio's hallmark. These Goofy cartoons were all directed by Jack Kinney, who is often given credit for combining Disney's professional style with the zaniness and manic pace featured in the competing Warner Bros. and MGM cartoons of the period. Two highlights of the collection are the beloved "The Big Wash" and "Father's Day Off." A number of the mock "instructional" cartoons that made Goofy famous are included, such as "The Art of Skiing," "How to Fish," "How To Swim," "How to Dance," and "Hold That Pose." Rounding out the collection are "Baggage Buster" and "Lion Down."
