A series of mysterious happenings make a modern-day black family wonder if the ghosts of runaway slaves are haunting their historic home, which was once owned by a murdered abolitionist named Dies Drear.

When a contemporary African-American family moves into a new house, they come face-to-face with the painful history of their oppressed ancestry.
Almost as soon as the members of this unit unpack their bags, they discover that a specter dwells in the home. They soon learn the apparition belongs to a long-deceased abolitionist.
Then the spirit transports the family back to the time of slavery.
