Journey on CD

Bob and his family have been living in the Philippines since 1989. As a part of the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) he's been helping broadcast radio programs throughout Asia. He uses his skills in electrical engineering to equip FEBC's broadcast operations around Asia with the tools needed to deliver clear radio programs to listeners in the region. His most recent assignment has been to lead the international radio broadcast operation in the Philippines. While in the Philippines, Bob took advantage of excellent opportunities to discover the country's rich musical heritage. Working alongside several skilled local musicians in the country, he grew in his appreciation for the Filipino acoustic music traditions. This album, recorded in the Philippines, is a reflection of that musical experience. As a composer and guitarist, Bob harnesses the richness of acoustic music to incorporate God's word into the life of contemporary society. Driven by his own walk, Bob illustrates how this relationship can be put into practice in every-day life. In adapting to life in another culture, Bob found his journey taking several unique turns. His music captures and reveals the spiritual impact of God in this ordinary life. Through Bob's lyrical melodies surrounded by an intricate finger style guitar, listeners can explore the character of God and His practical involvement in their lives. In the coming months, the journey takes a new turn. Bob and his wife, Barbara, plan to relocate to South Africa in 2007 to continue his radio ministry among the many peoples of Africa. He is also looking forward to exploring the musical influences of this vast continent. In the meantime, enjoy the journey of this, his first, release.
