Vision Quest on CD

Botielus creates melodic symphonies and soundscapes using only synthesizers. He combines realistic traditional sounds (strings, oboe, piano, etc.) with pure synthesizer sounds - to create a virtual orchestra. The songs range between EXHILARATING and SOOTHING. His music is wonderfully unique, but has been compared to the music of Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Enigma, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, and even Yanni. If you only have time to listen to one or two song samples, choose the exhilarating EXCITO first, and then the soothing SWEETDREAMS second. We think you'll agree the music of BOTIELUS is some of the best electronic beautiful music available! Some earlier reviews from Riffage.com 1) First feature: 'The theme of New Age enlightenment seems to run through each of Botielus' synthesizer dreams. Botielus weaves ethereal melodies with an exhilarating percussion heartbeat. 'Sweet Dreams' has a consistently invigorating sound throughout it's powerful build and glorious resolution, bringing to mind morning fog burning away to reveal radiant daylight. 'Excito' is a rapid dance of wind instruments and synthesizer, sure to thrill and inspire.' 2) Second feature: 'We hold a special place for those electronic producers who want nothing more than to noodle on electro beats and experimental sounds all day -- especially when they do it well! Botielus prowls around the same sort of dark and thought-provoking synthetic grounds similar as Tangerine Dream and Jean Michel Jarre.'
