Ode for the Holidays 1 on CD

Note to CD Baby - My genre is Adult Contemporary, or sometimes referred to as Special; Kids/Family, Classic and Easy Listening were selected for 'Genre'. Carol J. Christianson Bio Carol was born in Washburn, Wisconsin overlooking Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands with a song in her heart. 'You Are My Sunshine' is the first tune she recalls singing. Education followed with piano lessons at age 7, a B.A. Degree in Music/Music Education from SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota with organ as a major instrument; then graduate studies at Penn State with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians. Carol is an experienced musician as director, conductor, and organist, pianist and teacher with weekly gigs to audiences of up to 40,000. These include holiday 'phone music' for Groth Music with the release of her recording 'Ode for the Holidays Collection I' in 2003; weekly worship services at Resurrection Episcopal Church for eight years (1993 - 2001) and conducting the Honeywell Singers for 17 years (1984 - 2001); many performances of the National Anthem for the Minnesota Twins at the Hubert Humphrey Metrodome; annual performances for the St. Paul Saints including pre-game shows (1996 - 2001); the U.S. Olympic Festival gold medal playoffs; Minnesota Special Olympics; Paisley Park: a TV Pilot demo, with a commissioned arrangement and performance of a song for New York producers; Camp Snoopy Events at the Mall of America (1996 - 2001); and dedication of the MIA POW Flag at the Hubert Humphrey Metrodome (1986). She taught public school music, piano and organ, conducted the youth choir for services broadcast on radio at the United Methodist Church in Brookings, South Dakota prior to her move to the Twin Cities. Sequencing accompaniments became necessary for her choral groups in 1994, doing it almost unwillingly at first; then it became an 'addiction'. The dream of having her own orchestra became fulfilled through developing her studio and recording. 'Tunes come to me involuntarily'. These tunes are arranged and recorded using digital and live (audio) sound, instruments and voices to blend past with present (Pachelbel and Bach with Gershwin), painting tonal pictures with sound and converting this sound into new musical ideas which encompass several genres. Her goal is for this music to be broadcast throughout the world.
