Wind of Change on CD

These songs are a compilation of original tunes written by composer, musician, Vocalist Chris Chandler. They reflect the period of time from The mid 1980;s to the very beginning of 1990. One song in particular, 'Piano Roll Rag' was written by Chandler while he lived in YBOR city in historic Tampa, FL. It was here that Chandler performed for Maestro, Ceasar Gonzmart at the Cafe at the famed Columbia Restaurant. The song 'Piano Roll Rag' was written as a Rag time piano solo and dedicagted to Ceasar's son, Richard Gonzmart and his wife melanie. Cahndler was quite schooled in the Rag time tradition having performed and extensively studied the Scott Joplin songbook. The song was picked up by Ralph Price and used as a theme song for his curfrent events cable television program, 'Dialogue' This show ran twice weekly from 1992 throuogh 2000. Chandler was contacted by ASCAP after the Cable station was purchased by the comglamorate ComCast. Chandler was informed that ASCAP woupd be paying a substantail rpyalty for the use of this song . Over $100,00.00. Another song from this CD 'Run Away Bl;ues' was used in the video prodution of the 'Great Savannah Races' this video chronicled the Indie Racing in the early 20th century in Savannah, GA Other songs on this ablum reflect Chandler's other influences at this time mainly Jazz, Blues and Pop Ballads.
