This mix and match set of early Bob Marley tracks includes some Wailers self-productions from 1962 ("Hammer"), some Leslie Kong productions from 1969 ("Soul Shakedown Party," "Cheer Up," "Soul Captives"), and some Lee "Scratch" Perry productions from 1970 and 1971 ("Kaya," "African Herbsman," "Small Axe," "Sun Is Shining"). The result is a nice and varied set but it would be a bit absurd to call these Marley's 18 Greatest sides, as the title suggests.
