Another in the shelf-busting sequence of Shadows budget compilations, Guitar Legends is nevertheless of interest in that it doesn't dwell upon the most obvious cuts. Spanning the band's entire EMI career, of course it has its fair share of '60s classics, with "FBI," "Kon-Tiki," and "Atlantis" certainly forming an irresistible entrée. But latter-day joys like "Cavatina" and "Song for Duke" are also included, while "Guitar Tango" single-handedly justifies the collection's title -- as though any justification were needed. ~ Dave Thompson, All Music Guide
