UK compilation for the most commercially successful jazz tenor saxophonist of all time. 24 remastered tracks drawn from the vaults of the Savoy, Capitol, Sittin' In With, New Jazz & Prestige labels (the Savoy & Sittin' In With sides are scarcely represented elsewhere on CD). Includes 'Early Autumn', recorded with Woody Herman's legendary Second Herd, the number which established Getz. Also features his highly regarded early work with Kai Winding's 1945 bebop combo, alongside fellow tenorists Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Allen Eager & Brew Moore. Closes with four classic sides on which Gets leads his own quartet with pianist Al Haig, bassist Gene Ramey & drummer Stan Levy.
