This is yet another in a seemingly endless series of budget collections of Bob Marley material, none of which contain many of the Island-era tracks most people are familiar with when they think of Marley. This three-disc compilation is made up predominately of tracks Marley and the Wailers did with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry at the very end of the 1960s, from sessions many feel were the best the group ever did. These are wonderful songs (Marley re-recorded many of them for his Island albums), but there is no particular reason to get them in this package. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
