Truly Loved on CD

Monica Perz-Waddington has been a music minister and entertainer for over 20 years. Currently, she directs folk groups at St. Charles Borromeo Church and Our Lady, Queen of Peace Church in Arlington, VA. Monica's performances come directly from her heart and soul, whether she is singing in a church or in a coffeehouse. Monica's musical training started in first grade with her first piano lessons, and ranges from classical vocal training to Eastern European folk traditions. Performances include the Cathedral Choral Society and the Washington Bach Consort in Washington, DC, the Pittsburgh Camerata in Pittsburgh, PA and coffeehouses in the metro DC area, Arizona, and England. Six years ago, Monica organized and provided the music for 'Music for Moms,' a concert to raise funds for Borromeo Housing, Inc., a transitional housing program for homeless mothers and their children. This annual concert has raised thousands of dollars to help people in need in Arlington. Recently, Monica has started writing her own music, beginning with 'The St. Charles Our Father,' 'Ave Maria,' and 'Truly Loved,' all recorded on her first CD, Truly Loved. She enjoys arranging Psalms to music for her church choirs and dabbling in writing silly children's songs while playing with her two sons.
