Rapture on CD

Band bio: Peace & Love & Jigs & Reels brings fresh renditions of old and new Celtic music on Irish flute and guitar. Hailing from County Boulder, the duo has been heard at many Colorado festivals, including Planet Bluegrass, the Swallow Hill Folk Festival, Taste of Colorado, the Crestone Music Festival and the Long\'s Peak Scottish-Irish Festival. At concerts, public celebrations, mountaintop weddings, and in the intimacy of house concerts, they offer the music and wild spirit of the Celts directly to the listener's heart. ______________________________________________________________________________ Band members: Gregg Hansen - acoustic guitar, djembé, hand percussion. A lifelong professional musician, Gregg has engaged in many international styles of guitar and percussion as a performer across the country. In recent years, in addition to his performances and recording as part of Peace & Love & Jigs & Reels, Gregg has been a prolific solo recording artist, releasing 3 recordings of captivating fingerstyle guitar in as many years (also available on CD Baby!). Those who know Gregg are especially drawn to his natural leprechaun talent of lifting spirits and inspiring laughter. Cynthia Jaffé - Irish wooden flute, whistles, alto flute. Originally classically trained, Cynthia soon branched out into world music forms, studying South Indian music (bamboo flute and kanjira) in India, and soon afterward falling in love with the Irish wooden flute. Her hope is that if she captures that flute essence, she and you (her listeners) will transform into birds of a feather one day, and fly.
