Peace from the Porch 2 / Various on CD

"Peace from the Porch, Vol. 2" is the second in a series of compilation benefit CDs by executive producer and project founder Christy Claxton. The Peace from the Porch series benefits various charities and non-profit organizations. This volume showcases some of the top independent singer/songwriters in America. The compilation features a rare ensemble performance with Ruthie Foster, Patrice Pike and Erika Luckett appearing as the Bear Creek Ensemble ("Little Red Recorder"). Volume 2 benefits agencies that support victims of domestic violence and child abuse. Other contributing artists included, songwriting legends Eric Taylor, Tret Fure and Shake Russell as well as some of the hottest young players on the circuit; including Natalia Zukerman, Patrice Pike, Ginger Leigh, Julie Loyd and Wishing Chair. Zukerman fans will want her version of "Anyway," recorded for this project. However, every track is unique and representative of the singer/songwriters who create today's folk/rock and progressive acoustic sounds. The Peace from the Porch Project supports independent musicians who support peace on the homefront.
