Description

Five Senses of Phantasm on CD

The disc is an atmospheric testament to taking a long look at yourself and understanding the darkness within. The psychonauts who want to take you on this tour of your damaged consciousness are Nate, who leads the trio with his clean melodic vocals, deep bass grooves, key work, and, occasionally, trumpet, Scotty who provides the steady beat on drums, and Guy whose guitar work gives the band it's introspective atmosphere. In January 2006, Quandry released their debut 5 track EP titled 'Penumbra'. The EP featured hits such as 'Angry Lips' and 'The Root of it All' which received notable play on several major mainstream radio stations throughout the northwest. In August 2007, Quandry released their followup album titled 'Five Senses of Phantasm'. 'The disc starts with Nate's bass snap-popping a groove on 'William and the Judgemental Machine' and drops into the explorations of power despite malevolent outside influences. From filling painful voids on 'Scarab' and examining perspectives in 'Apostasy,' to the failure of chemical cures on 'Shock Therapy,' Five Senses of Phantasm is an impressive cerebral assault on the ears. Psychonautical Metal tempered in our own backyard takes the form of Quandry. Don't be afraid to take the trip inside your fractured self, because getting there is the best part. See for yourself...' - Soup / CRAVE MAGAZINE.
