World As We See It on CD

Redroque - the world as we see it with the darkness making big waves in the rock world and showing that rock can be fun, we'd like to draw your attention to a band from the same area of the UK who've been making records for over ten years...in fact they've released 6 so far and already have plans for the seventh... meet Redroque Redroque was formed by ian harvey and max bellingham in 1993 and initially they wrote and recorded everything themselves but as time has moved on a few friends have become involved in the recording process - though max and ian still write all the material their latest album is entitled 'the world as we see it' and is a collection of observations on life though they stress that they are not necessarily qualified to comment! From the treatment of the native American to a theory that women may be a different race altogether...from a view that all people are equal and if they stand and work together can change anything to topical comments on the global activities we have witnessed this year are just a few of the themes dealt with on 'the world as we see it' the music itself whilst rock based, swings between quiet, thoughtful moments to epic soundscapes some of which are the biggest and most complex that they've ever undertaken...work on songs can start as simply as a vocal and an acoustic guitar but get quickly progressed and polished with input from liam harvey on drums and backing vocals, adam pryke on lead guitars and fi witton on sax and additional vocals...there are also appearances from other talents including jo bowley, lead singer with maximum r & b band the bb's for which max is the bass player... 'the world as we see it'...see if it matches your view.
