Finding Home on CD

Rena Strober is known in NY and across the country from her Broadway performances, TV appearances to concerts at Lincoln Center, Town Hall and at home plate at Shea Stadium. She was seen as Cosette in Les Miserables, Tonya in the upcoming Broadway production of Zhivago for which she won the prestigious Craig Noel Award and is currently starring as Belle in Beauty & The Beast at the Westchester Broadway Theatre. This CD features music ranging from folk, rock, Italian opera, Israeli pop songs to songs from Sesame Street and Broadway, Rena covers all genres of music making Finding Home a true experience to listen to. Her dynamic voice offers sounds from Norah Jones to Sarah Brightman. Finding Home features some of New York's most talented musicians including Voxare, the Julliard string quartet, world renown fiddler Lev 'Ljova' Zhurbin, clarinetist Michael Winograd, Flutist Matt Steckler and many more. Rena also welcomes guest vocalists Lucia Spina (Les Mis, Legally Blonde) and Emmy nominated American tenor Michael Amante. Finding Home was inspired by Rena's 1-woman Off-Broadway musical 'Spaghetti & Matzo Balls!' which enjoyed three sold-out runs in NYC. The musical explores Rena's journey from her upbringing as a nice Jewish girl in upstate NY to singing karaoke for the mob, traveling the country with Les Miserables, torturing her 89-year-old matchmaking grandmother because she's still not married, and all the while rediscovering her roots.
