Description

Respectables on CD

The Respectables came together in early 2004 to write and record a timeless rock and roll record featuring hook filled pop songs with smart lyrics and white hot guitar solos. The Respectables combine equal elements of power pop, glam rock, roots rock, and classic rock to create their version of the truth. NICK PIUNTI (vocals, guitar) JOE GAYDOS (lead guitar) PETE BANKERT (bass guitar) and DONN DENISTON (drums) mix their many influences into something both familiar and exciting. Recorded at Pete Bankert's 'Rock City Studio,' The Respectables debut is a guitar player's album that never forgets the power of a three minute pop song. Making a special guest appearance on the record is Joe Gaydos's son, Joey Gaydos Jr. Joey came to national attention starring as Zack in the Jack Black film 'School of Rock.' Raised on rock and roll, Joey burns the ending guitar solo in the rocking 'On My Mind.' And he did it in one take! The apple only falls so far from the tree. Most important for The Respectables was to keep the recording process simple. Great songs, bad ass playing and let the tape roll! What's captured here is a straight ahead pop rock record that's not afraid to let it's roots show.
