RODGER WARNER ROBERTS BIOGRAPHY Rodger Warner Roberts as a young child demonstrated a broad vocal range that enabled him to duplicate an array of artists from the 1960's Motown era, and many other artists through the 1980's and forward. Both parents and siblings recognized Rodger's God-given talent and love for singing. Their family performances proved profitable as an "offering hat" would be passed around and monies collected were used to encourage and support Rodger's efforts. Rodger later went on to become lead singer for many secular groups. The success of these came when he joined with a group of two guys and together they formed the singing trio "Free Exchange." The group was also signed to perform as special guest at the renowned Apollo Theatre in New York City. In 1986, after many bumps and bruises, Rodger surrendered his life to the Lord - saying, "Yes Lord do with me as you will." At the Lord's prompting, Roger resigned his vocal career with Free Exchange and this time walked with the Lord wholeheartedly. In 2001, Rodger's friendship with Perry Jenkins of Most High Music Productions was rekindled and for a brief period, Rodger sung with his group, The Lord's Mercenaries. They stayed in touch and their fellowship culminated into the collaboration and release of Rodger's first gospel CD - "Finally" - written, arranged and produced by Perry Jenkins. The release of "Finally" lends testimony to Rodger's changed life and walk of faith.
