Description

Bite By Bite on CD

This intimately recorded album unfolded through a desire to spread kindness in all directions. After learning the harsh realities behind many animal agriculture 'industries' I was strongly compelled to sing for those whose voices we might otherwise not hear.. and so a few of these songs deliver a raw intensity in reaction to the shock I felt from watching undercover footage. Though it's challenging, people tell me it helps them to understand. The experience of releasing these emotions opened me up to a much deeper level of compassion for all humans, and I see that the most abusive people actually need the most mercy and forgiveness. It seems that transforming judgement into looking for the common ground through which we can discover solutions together, without the walls of defense between us, opens all possibilities. More wag less bark. Many of these songs sparkle with humor, joy, and the belief that though none of us is perfect or pure we can each contribute to a more playfully peaceful world just doing whatever it is we can to share our love. It has been inspiring to see that, as our collective awareness increases, we are more than happy to choose from an ever-growing abundance of healthier, kinder, and more sustainable alternatives. Looking for the good, the amazing potential of compassion is apparent everywhere today, and many of us believe we are approaching the tipping point of humankindness. Engineer Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Rupa and the Fish..) The local birds, frogs, and dog kindly chimed in time to time.
