Communicate on CD

"Times are changing. Consciousness is rising. People are looking for something real, something uplifting." Sage Infinity is a true visionary, and from the very beginning he committed himself to creating an album that would go beyond the boundaries normally set for a pop artist in today's world. "Categories and genres certainly have their place, but the greatest artists of any age always seem to transcend the expected boundaries.' Sage's words definitely ring true on 'Communicate,' his incredible debut CD. Absolutely original, and totally from the heart, this project reflects his vision of love and life at a truly universal level. His passion for music is evident, as well as his commitment to bringing a message of love and hope to all who will listen. Sage was born and raised in Washington, DC. He still reflects on the impact that DC radio had on him. "They played so much music, some of which didn't get heard in other parts of the country. The music was deep, be it pop, rock, funk, hip-hop, jazz, go-go, alternative, you name it. My mind was wide open." This exposure, as well as his early travels, influenced his musical vision - to create music that would touch people of all races, cultures, and backgrounds. Working in various DC-based bands, Sage's funky bass playing turned heads up and down the East Coast. He also played kalimba and percussion, as well as trading off lead vocals. Free time was often spent honing his writing and keyboard skills, which came in handy when the recording began. In addition to singing his songs and playing most of the instruments, Sage wrote, produced and arranged the entire album. "Still," he says, "it was a team effort. Everyone involved came in with such incredible talent, enthusiasm and positive energy, from my recording engineer to the wonderful musicians and background singers, and then my mastering engineer who brought it all home. They were all excited about the project, and everyone involved brought this beautiful, heartfelt vibe that you will definitely feel when you listen. This album came as a pure labor of love, and that's what makes it so special - it really has that magic."
