T4's Rockafolkablues Band on CD

In the gem of the Endless Mountains, a performing songwriter crafted his songs about mountain life, cold winters, and warm people. Playing his tunes for the crowds in the bars of Sullivan County, he built a loyal following and amassed a variety of different songs. He had recorded a 10-song album in 2002 and a 4-song demo in 2003 that was shopped in Nashville, LA, and NYC. A song from that demo was published by a West Virginia record label and another tune was featured on an independent filmmaker's surfing documentary. His performances were mostly solo events, but the sound he envisioned would entail a full band of experienced musicians. He moved to Philadelphia and fell in with the company of a versatile bassist and drummer. They honed their playing skills as a party band and began playing regulary at local music hotspots, always winning over new fans. Their debut album, Covered Bridge Chronicles, features 10 original tunes all penned by T-4. Since the release of the CD in May 2005, the band has been featured on several Internet radio shows, enjoyed strong CD sales, and gained new fans through inspired, thoughtful live performances. The band's lastest project was recorded this April in Valparaiso, Indiana at Bear Tracks recording studio; produced by Mark Nelson and Nat Balon. First time listeners will be attracted to the array of different styles the band melts into a rootsy sounding Americana vibe. Rock turns to blues which fuses with rockabilly all layered with socially conscious lyrics and harmonies. It is the music of America's past with a modern, accessible appeal. It is real and to the point and full of surprises. Front-man T-4 delivers his songs with a voice that would be the median of Mick Jagger and Garth Brooks, and picks his lefty Stratocaster eliciting the sounds of SRV and Hendrix. Throw in an occasional harmonica solo and add flowing bass lines and harmonies from Hans and rock steady drums from Peter 'The Animal' Shoemaker then you are experiencing the RockaFolkaBlues Band at it's best. Despite their classical influences, the sound you hear is a distinctly original one that will leave you looking forward to their next number.
