The Best of Kate Smith is a 13-track budget-priced collection that features some of her biggest hits, including "God Bless America," "Ridin' High," "Love Walked In," "The Very Thought of You," "Love Is Here to Stay," "If I Had You," "But Not for Me," "'S Wonderful," "They Can't Take That Away from Me" and "It Could Happen to You." Although this isn't a bad budget-priced disc, there are far better collections available, offering more songs and better sound for not much more money. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
