In this graphic novel, a German-Jewish woman named Esther shares the story of her experiences during the Holocaust with her grandson. Although Esther managed to survive World War II by living in hiding on a farm, her parents were eventually captured and sent to a concentration camp where they were both murdered. Determined to find out what happened to her parents before they were captured, Esther and her grandson travel through Germany attempting to retrace Esther's parents' steps.
