Livell Get You Ten on CD

SEE THE After Silence STUDIO ALBUM 'Now You See 'Em... Now You Don't' @ LIVE'LL GET YOU TEN: This is a live recording that will simply knock your socks off. First, just because of the quality of the musicianship and the very high 'fun' quotient, but second, because it's an unusually clear, well recorded capturing of a big, but tight ensemble that is on fire, is enjoying playing off one another and is clearly feasting off the feedback from an enthusiastic room. Group founder and bassist, Jim Bruenn: 'We know it's highly unusual to lead off with a live album, especially when the bulk of the tunes that were captured best on tape were other people's songs. But our studio album with four more incredible originals from Greg [Greg Bullen, keyboards & arrangements] won't be finished probably until mid-2002, and our fans were pestering us to get something into their hands. We had no idea the quality of the live recording and the overall energy and vibe would be at such a high level. I mean, you know it's there in the room, it's visceral and you can taste it, but it rarely makes the transition onto a recording. You gotta love it when it happens.' The group took it's name from a quote by Aldous Huxley (1894-1963): 'After Silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music' In addition to their own original songs the band has worked up great arrangements of some of the best material by the Beatles, Earth Wind & Fire, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder, Little Feat, Sam & Dave, Pablo Cruise, Average White Band, etc. Jim Bruenn: 'In 1997 I approached my old friend and jamming partner, Greg Bullen. Greg has had a distinguished career playing keyboards in rock bands and later accompanying himself on both guitar and piano in a solo act that featured dozens of his own works interlaced with a little Mose Allison, the Band, and others. Then he went back to school, got a Masters and is now composing beautiful symphonic and choral work. I told him I could put together a funk/rock/jazz band of excellent musicians featuring vocals & horns, but only if Greg would play keyboards and arrange. When I saw the grin on his face, I just knew I could also talk him into writing and singing for the group, as well. Lucky us!' Would you like to meet female lead vocalist, Shyama?
